why you haven't seen me in awhile....

so,   yeah the whole situation is pretty stinky. my right arm is in this really ugly contraption. but while i can't make any new pretties for right now. i can type very slowly with my left hand. so look for new posts soon!

So we have been having icky icky icky -but necessary- rain here in the midwest. But today, sunny skies. I finally got to start taking photos of all the new pretties that will be a part of my big sale next week! Here's a sneak preview-

I love this song so much, it's burning my brain ...

...and my husband's ears. Which is a shame because he has very cute ears.

It's Heartbeats by The Knife. If you would like to be in love with this song too, these are the steps one must take... 

#1. First hear Jose Gonzalez's version of "Heartbeats" on Subterranean fall in love immediately with it's serene folkiness and listen to it 10 times (at least) a day.

#2. 6 or so months later, while you're washing dishes and listening to the radio, listen to the Knife's version of "Heartbeats".

#3. Dislike this version immediately, because you are a music snob, and automatically hate remakes. i.e Scarlet Johansen, almost everyone on American Idol.

#4. Hear the DJ say that The Knife's version was the original version. Feel a little embarrassed at your snobbery.

#5 Within a few hours realize that you can't stop thinking about how much you love "Heartbeats", get over yourself, buy the song, listen to it nonstop (again, sorry Joel. I really do like your ears)

Or if you like to do the things the easy way, you can just listen to the song and see of you like it to:)

It's no secret....

...that I love Elizabeth Taylor. But the only movie of hers I actually own is Giant. If you like a lovely story, happy endings, your movie stars to be VERY tan, your movie stars to have very large eyebrows, anti-racist commentary, Texas, cattle, then this is the movie for you:) It stars Rock Hudson, Liz, and James Dean.

*disclaimer* If you have a big fat crush on James Dean. Be warned- he plays this really creepy bad guy and it may ruin your crush forever.

Hey Y'all! So I have finally nailed down the dates for my next big sale. And I'm gonna let you blog readers in on the details first. It will be June 5,6 and 7. Just like my big sale last winter, everything will be HALF off! but only for those three days. After that all of the jewels will go back to their regular prices.
